REDUCING CARBON FOOTPRINTS: LESSONS LEARNED FOR POST COVID-19 WORLD
Description
Global carbon dioxide emissions fell significantly as the COVID-19 pandemic squelched the economic and social activities worldwide. However, the global emissions bounce back as worldwide economic activity recovered in late 2020. Carbon footprint reduction can play a significant role in fighting global warming and climate change, as mandated by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that aim to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. This Summer Course -organized by Dept. of Resource and Environmental Economics (ESL) Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB University—aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to identify and quantify greenhouse gases emissions (the carbon footprint) and plan action to reduce these emissions.
