The Department of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics (ESL), Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), IPB University, participated in the Kick-off Meeting of the Erasmus project entitled “Building Capacities for a Transition to a Circular Economy.” This meeting marked the official launch of an international collaboration aimed at strengthening higher education capacities to support the transition towards a sustainable circular economy.

The event brought together project partners from various countries and institutions to discuss the project objectives, work plans, and strategies for capacity building in education, research, and community engagement related to circular economy development. The meeting also served as a platform for exchanging experiences, best practices, and innovative approaches to addressing contemporary sustainability and development challenges.

The involvement of the ESL Department, FEM IPB University in this Erasmus initiative reflects the institution’s strong commitment to international collaboration, academic excellence, and the development of high-quality human resources in the fields of environmental and natural resource economics.

Through the implementation of this project, it is expected that cross-country collaboration and institutional capacities will be further strengthened, enabling higher education institutions to play a more active role in promoting circular economy practices at both national and global levels.
