International Guest Lecture ESL Explores Sustainable Biomass Conversion and Waste-to-Wealth Technologies
The Graduate Study Program of Resources and Environmental Economics (ESL), Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), IPB University, successfully hosted the International Guest Lecture 2026 on Wednesday, 12 August 2026. Held at the 3rd Floor Classroom of the Department of Resources and Environmental Economics, IPB Dramaga Campus, the event focused on the theme “Sustainable Biomass Conversion and Waste-to-Wealth Technologies for Renewable Energy, Circular Economy, and Environmental Sustainability.”
The lecture featured Prof. Dr. Ashokkumar Veeramuthu, Professor and Head of the Centre for Waste Management and Renewable Energy at Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), India, as the guest speaker. He shared valuable insights into innovative approaches to biomass conversion and waste-to-wealth technologies, highlighting their potential to support renewable energy development, promote a circular economy, and strengthen environmental sustainability. The session was moderated by Danang Pramudita, SP, M.Si., Lecturer in Resources and Environmental Economics, FEM IPB University.
The International Guest Lecture 2026 provided an important platform for knowledge exchange and international academic engagement among students and the academic community of ESL IPB University. Through this event, participants gained broader global perspectives on sustainable biomass utilization, waste-to-wealth innovation, renewable energy, and circular economy approaches as key strategies for addressing environmental challenges and supporting a more sustainable future.
