The Department of Resource and Environmental Economics (ESL), Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB University, organized a Thanksgiving Gathering for its Permanent Lecturers in conjunction with an Iftar event on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. The event commenced at 5:30 PM (WIB) and was held at Resto Sawah Abah.

This gathering served as an important occasion to strengthen collegial ties and reinforce solidarity among lecturers and staff within the ESL Department. The spirit of Ramadan provided a meaningful moment for reflection, fostering ukhuwah (brotherhood), and nurturing a collaborative spirit in carrying out the university’s tridharma—education, research, and community service.

In his remarks, the Head of the ESL Department emphasized that the thanksgiving event was not merely ceremonial, but rather a platform to strengthen unity and shared commitment.“Through this Ramadan momentum, we not only strengthen our bonds of fellowship, but also reinforce our collective commitment to enhancing the quality of academic programs, research, and community engagement. Togetherness is the primary foundation in building a department that is excellent and competitive,” he stated.

The event was conducted in a warm and familial atmosphere, beginning with a short religious reflection (tausiyah), followed by a joint prayer, and concluded with the breaking of the fast together. It is hoped that this gathering will further strengthen synergy among lecturers and contribute to the creation of a harmonious, productive, and integrity-driven academic environment.
