The Department of Natural Resources Economy and Environment (ESL), Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB University explores collaboration with the Ponorogo Regency Government (Pemkab), (1/12). The cooperation plan that can be carried out with the Ponorogo Regency Government is the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT).
Ponorogo Regional Secretary, Agus Pramono welcomed the arrival of the ESL Department group and the team at the Ponorogo Regency Government Office.
On this occasion, Agus said that there are still a lot of work that must be done by the Regency Government. Such as the need for great agriculture to meet the needs of the community, overcome the scarcity of fertilizers, water drought and more.
"The regency government has deployed BUMDes and has provided assistance to farmers in the form of interest-free loans and repayments after harvest. So with the KKNT, hopefully we can help the agricultural sector and other sectors together,” he said.
Responding to this, the Head of the ESL Department, Dr Ahyar Ismail said that at first, KKNT was formed because of the Aceh tsunami in 2004. According to him, at that time many students helped to recover after the tsunami.
"Until now, many universities in Indonesia have participated in this activity," he said.
On the same occasion, Dr Meti Ekayani, Secretary of the ESL Department explained that apart from KKNT, collaboration can also be carried out in the fields of service, research and joint publications. (Ang/Zul) (IAAS/RDL)
